About the role

Brannon Steel is actively seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Accounts Payable Clerk to join our dynamic team and provide essential support to our existing staff. As our business continues to expand and we navigate increasing demands, your role will be pivotal in maintaining the flow of financial operations. In this position, you will collaborate closely with your colleagues across various departments to ensure that our accounts payable processes run smoothly, transparently, and efficiently. This collaborative effort is crucial for helping us uphold our reputation as an industry leader, ensuring that our financial activities are executed seamlessly and contribute to our overall success.

Starting salary: TBD

Work schedule: Monday to Friday, 8:00am to 5:00pm.

Remote: No, (this is an in-office position)

Responsibilities

  • Administer the general ledger including maintenance and reconciliation of accounts.
  • Administer accounts payable including review of purchase orders and invoices, reconciliation of accounts and the posting of transactions.
  • Contribute to the maintenance of all financial databases, files, processes and systems within the scope of assigned duties.
  • Provide information and support to authorized external and internal customers regarding accounting and financial matters.
  • Maintain the confidentiality and integrity of financial information.
  • Participate in professional development activities as directed by the Controller.
  • Adhere to all applicable company policies, procedures and practices.

Requirements

  • Relevant accounting or finance experience (5 years).
  • Relevant education or professional development activity.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and general computer use.
  • Strong mathematical and quantitative skills.
  • Highly organized and able to prioritize multiple responsibilities.
  • Well-developed communication and teamwork skills.
  • Experience with ERP system preferred.
