Job Summary
An Emergency Replacement Supply may be offered work on an urgent basis when a permanent teacher is absent from work and no certified (or pending certification) teacher replacement is available. An Emergency Replacement Supply will provide reasonable support and supervision in emergency situations.
Under the direction of the Principal/Vice-Principal, an Emergency Replacement Supply will provide reasonable support to students within the classroom in-person as required, and provide supervision and respond appropriately when issues arise.
The Emergency Replacement Supply must possess an understanding of and a willingness to support the mission of a Catholic School system.
Who Should Apply?
The HCDSB invites applications from candidates who are not certified teachers nor pending certification from the Ontario Collage of Teachers.

Qualifications / Experience
- Post secondary education
- Experience working/volunteering with children and adolescents an asset.
- Ability to supervise the safety and security of students.
- Ability to communicate effectively with staff and students.
- Willingness to work with students with differing needs and capabilities.
- Maintain strict confidentiality and privacy of student information.
- Ability to work as a team player.
- Demonstrated commitment to working in a diverse school community and/or work environment.
Please be advised as a condition of employment with the Board, candidates will be required to provide the following documentation upon hire:
- an original Criminal Reference Check including Vulnerable Sector Screening, dated within the last six (6) months
