ABOUT THE ROLE
As the Manager at Blue Water Wash in Brandon, Manitoba, you will run the daily operations. Your main tasks are to ensure efficient trailer wash scheduling, staff management, and providing exceptional customer service. You’ll champion the company values, quality, safety, and operational excellence while leading a dedicated team.
KEY REPSONSIBILITIES
- Manage and schedule staff, trailer washes, and daily operations
- Build and maintain strong customer relationships; resolve concerns promptly
- Monitor biosecurity and quality standards; conduct spot inspections
- Oversee facility, equipment, and yard maintenance
- Ensure compliance with safety programs and coordinate staff training/certification
- Approve purchases and maintain pricing lists within authorized limits
- Track labor hours and ensure accurate invoicing
- Maintain and update SOPs; ensure responsibilities are covered during absences
QUALIFICATIONS
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
- Proven leadership experience
- Strong financial acumen and budget management skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication abilities
- Demonstrated ability to coach, mentor, and develop teams to meet operational goals
- Sound judgment and effective decision-making skills
- Growth-oriented mindset with a focus on continuous improvement and team development
- High level of accountability and perseverance in overcoming challenges and driving results

About Steve's Livestock Transport
Founded in 1987 as a one-man operation, Steve's Livestock Transport has since grown to become North America's largest commercial livestock transportation company. Over the last 25 years, we have expanded to include a dry freight division. We have three locations to serve our customers, in Blumenort and Brandon, Manitoba and Acme, Alberta.
We have a fleet of 130 power units, transporting more than 2,500 cattle and 150,000 pigs per week within Canada and the United States. All 3 of our locations have commercial washing and repair facilities for trucks and trailers. In addition to servicing our own units, these facilities provide custom washing and repairs for other large equipment and fleets as well.
