About the role
Plan Group is looking for an experienced project delivery consultant with strong Project Manager skills and experience to join our growing Technology team. This role will lead the delivery of critical technology solutions to transform clinical workflow and automate healthcare facilities into Smart Hospitals. Our focus, design and deliver integrated technology solutions that connect systems and people, enabling smarter facilities, more efficient operations and optimized clinical outcomes.
Leveraging your understanding of clinical workflow in hospitals and healthcare facilities, Health Technology, and IT systems you will be responsible for leading the planning, coordination, and execution of complex technology integration projects across healthcare and smart facility environments. This role ensures that all systems ranging from clinical systems, safety and security, building automation, IoT devices, and digital infrastructure work seamlessly together to deliver high-performance connected and intelligent facilities.
As ourProject Manager, Healthcare Technology Delivery,you will:
- Lead the end-to-end delivery of integration projects from design through commissioning and handover by defining project scope, objectives, timelines, and budgets that align with client and organizational goals; organize and lead project meetings, monitor progress, manage deliverables, and provide regular updates and reports to both internal and external stakeholders to ensure successful outcomes.
- Lead the efforts of defining functional workflows/use case requirements in collaboration with clients/stakeholders to develop solution design documentation for our developers to support the configuration/development of the required interfaces and/or applications
- Work collaboratively with the Technology Pursuits team by reading and understanding the pertinent technical and functional requirements relative to your scope within the RFP and manage the design and pricing of the solution suite to meet those requirements while understanding both the risks and opportunities as it pertains to your solution
- Oversee the integration of smart building systems such as building automation, lighting, access control, and energy management with IT and IoT platforms, while coordinating closely with healthcare technology stakeholders to integrate clinical systems, RTLS, nurse call, alert and alarm management, patient infotainment, and other digital health platforms; ensure all systems interoperate seamlessly using standardized communication protocols.
- Serve as the primary liaison between clients, consultants, vendors, and contractors for all integration-related activities by managing expectations, facilitating collaboration, and resolving technical or schedule-related issues; coordinate with third-party system integrators, OEMs, and software providers to maintain alignment and deliver consistent, high-quality solutions.
- Collaborate with design and engineering teams to review and validate system architectures and integration strategies, ensuring designs meet operational and performance objectives; review and approve technical submittals, integration drawings, and commissioning plans, and support the deployment of digital twins, analytics dashboards, and smart building applications to enhance system performance and user experience.
- Implement rigorous project controls and quality assurance processes to ensure all deliverables meet technical specifications, client standards, and regulatory requirements; proactively identify and mitigate project risks related to technology integration, cybersecurity, and interoperability while ensuring compliance with healthcare IT, privacy, and safety standards such as PIPEDA/PHIPA
- Champion innovation across projects by identifying opportunities to incorporate emerging technologies and scalable digital solutions that enhance operational intelligence and building performance; contribute to continuous improvement initiatives by leveraging data-driven insights to optimize facility operations, improve occupant experience, and drive long-term value for clients.

You have a minimum of five (5) years of related Project Management experience within the healthcare sector. Post-Secondary Degree in healthcare such as nursing.

Professional designation such as RN

PMP or equivalent project management certification preferred.

Experience in healthcare environments and construction delivery processes an asset.

Proven track record delivering multi-system integration healthcare systems, etc.

Ability to clearly articulate the dependencies of various technologies and produce schedule, cost, quality impacts to better translate requirements to our construction teams and customers

Experience leading workshops including clinical staff to understand and map workflow and operational requirements into functional technology specifications.

Demonstrates knowledge and understanding of technology concepts, communications protocols, clinical informatics, programming languages, APIs, operating systems, and database management systems such as:
