Job Summary:

To coordinate and plan the short term and long-term scheduling within the respective facility and to perform the administrative functions necessary to support the schedules.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Interact with facility and with the appropriate individuals to gather information impacting on production and product deliveries to customers.
  • Responsible for working in compliance with established safe work practices and procedures; properly uses personal protection and safety equipment as required by CPL; reports any injury or illness immediately and notifies CPL of any hazards, unsafe acts or conditions in the workplace.
  • Ensure accuracy when transcribing batch numbers and assigning lot numbers and expiry dates to work orders.
  • Communicate requirements and timelines necessary to ensure the integrity of each of the schedules to appropriate individuals.
  • Compile and integrate information to determine impact on production priorities and needs.
  • Formulate manufacturing and packaging schedules (both short term and long term) based on available information.
  • Monitor the status of orders and material requirements leading up to production and expedite where necessary.
  • Allocate materials in SAP and issue pick lists, manufacturing and packaging work orders within the appropriate timeframe to meet the schedules.
  • Optimize the integration of SAP in the planning function to evaluate production/capacity requirements and limitations (e.g. Labour, equipment and rates).
  • Contribute to achieving Lean Goals and continuous improvement.
  • Other duties as assigned.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

Education:

  • Minimum high school diploma required, however post secondary education is an asset. Equivalent experience will also be considered.

Experience:

  • Minimum of 2-3 years experience in a planning, production or supply chain environment.
  • Experience with integrated IT systems (e.g. SAP) is an asset.

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities:

  • Demonstrated competencies in CPL's core values.
  • Flexible with the ability to adapt, respond quickly and manage change in a fast-paced environment.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects, work effectively with all levels in the organization and work independently.
