About the role

We are seeking aProject Coordinatorto join our Grande Prairie team.

This role supports the Project Management and Operations Manager to successfully deliver municipal road construction projects within the Grande Prairie and surrounding areas.

This is an excellent opportunity for a construction professional with strong estimating and project coordination experience who thrives in a fast-paced, high-accountability environment.

#How You’ll Add Value

  • Assist in developing and maintaining construction schedules for municipal road projects.
  • Review drawings and specifications to support material procurement and scope accuracy.
  • Support field operations to ensure work aligns with estimates, budgets, and quality standards.
  • Coordinate and price change orders, including cost and schedule impact analysis.
  • Track project costs, identify variances, and assist with corrective actions.
  • Support tender preparation, quantity take-offs, and detailed cost estimating.
  • Obtain and analyze supplier and subcontractor pricing.
  • Assist with subcontract administration and monitor documentation for billing and reconciliation.
  • Conduct site visits and verify field measurements to support progress and final invoicing.
  • Maintain strong client and stakeholder communication with a professional, solution-oriented approach.

#What You Bring

  • Post-secondary education in Civil Engineering, Construction Project Management, or related discipline
  • At least one (1) year of heavy civil or road construction experience
  • Strong understanding of construction drawings, elevations, and contract documents
  • Valid Class 5 Driver’s License with a clean driver abstract

Skills & Competencies

  • Strong estimating and analytical capabilities
  • Intermediate to advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Outlook, Word, and MS Project
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills
  • Ability to manage multiple projects in a deadline-driven environment
  • High attention to detail and accuracy in documentation
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team environment
