**Hours:**1.0FTE, 40 hours per week, Temporary Full-Time.
10:30am-7:00pm Monday to Friday with some Saturday availability as needed. Sunday and STAT Availability may be required in the future if required for the needs of the business.

Position Summary
Reporting to the Patient Care Manager, the Patient Care Coordinator is responsible for providing professional, courteous, and timely support to patients and referring physicians by coordinating diagnostic imaging appointments across all Insight Medical Imaging clinics.
This is a remote position on a 1-year temporary contract, with the possibility of extension. This position operates on a rotational schedule consisting of 40 hours per week, including evenings, weekends, and statutory holidays as required.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Liaison with the Medical Receptionist(s), Patient Care Manager, Clinic Supervisors, Coordinators as required to ensure timely Patient Care.
- Provide valuable feedback in the Development and implementation of protocols as directed by the Patient Care Manager and other administrative staff within the Organization.
- Check incoming Faxes and contact Physicians and Patients for Medical Imaging appointments.
- Call out to patients as directed by the Patient Care Manager to rebook, confirm or fill appointments as required.
- Attend team meetings and information sessions in the Department and within the organization as required.
- Provide professional, courteous and timely Patient Care to all Patients and Physicians.
- Other duties as assigned.
Skills
- Proficiency with medical scheduling systems and customized computer software
- Working knowledge of medical office routines, imaging protocols, and workflows
- Ability to operate effectively in a high-volume contact center
- Strong computer literacy, including data entry and electronic fax handling
- Task prioritization and time management skills in a remote setting
Qualifications
- High School Diploma (required)
- Medical Assistant Diploma or Medical Terminology Certificate with a minimum of 1 year of relevant experience (equivalencies may be considered)
- Previous experience in a high-volume contact center (required)
- Strong verbal communication and customer interaction skills
