Wage Schedule: $36.950 - $39.020 per hour

This position is open to all qualified CUPE staff throughout Lakeridge Health commencing 20 July 2026 and closing at 11:59 pm on 27 July 2026.
Duties And Responsibilities
Assessing, planning, implementing and evaluating to provide high quality nursing care to residents; Assisting in the development and maintenance of an appropriate plan of care for each resident Ensuring resident care plans are initiated in collaboration with other members of the multidisciplinary team Communicating with relatives regarding the care and condition of respective residents as required Participating in discharge planning, consultation, and/or transfer of residents Providing provide direct resident care and participate in resident teaching as required Encouraging active participation by residents in all therapy programs and recreational activities Providing first aid to staff when necessary and completing Employee Injury Reports Procuring and administer medications including injections and narcotics Participating in the orientation, on-the-job training and in-servicing of nursing staff as required
Qualifications
Current Certificate of Registration in good standing with the College of Nurses of Ontario as a Registered Practical Nurse Related experience in a geriatric or Long Term Care environment is preferred; Demonstrated commitment to maintain Reflective Practice Standards as outlined by the CNO; Demonstrated knowledge of and compliance with safe work practices Must possess strong written and oral communication, critical thinking, care coordination, time management and customer focus skills; Demonstrated empathy, concern and interest in providing quality care and service for residents Physical ability to perform the essential duties of the job Must provide a satisfactory Criminal Investigation Reference for the vulnerable sector, dated within the past six (6) months; Demonstrated commitment to our core values of Inclusion, Compassion, Innovation, Teamwork and Joy; Demonstrated understanding of and commitment to Lakeridge Health's comprehensive safety programs and practices including staff, patient and environmental safety and participation in regular in-services in this area.
