Qualifications

  • Experience with EXFO Products (OTDR, Power Meter, VFL, Traffic Id’er, ECT.).
  • Able to read and interpret plans (Splice documents and placing maps).
  • Experience with mass fusion and single Fusion splice sets.
  • Experience using Different types of Enclosures and Fibre (400D5, 450D6, PLP closures, Di-electric cable, armored cable, ribbon fiber, loose tube, tight buffer, and ribbonizing).
  • Always meet established company standards of appearance and demeanor.
  • Comfortable with pulling and backing up trailers.
  • Possess a good attitude, work well with other company employees and management, and provide excellent customer service.
  • Required to assist with other job aspects, including general labor, when needed.
  • Must have a valid driver's license, own transportation, and a clean driving record.

Work Conditions

  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; and talk or hear.
  • Required to stand, walk, sit, climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.
  • Required to lift and move 50 to 100 pounds regularly.
  • Required to lift and move more than 100+ pounds occasionally.
  • Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
  • Safely handle and carry ladders.
  • Work in confined spaces.
  • Year-round outdoor work.
  • Travel will be required.
