Role:
We are seeking highly motivated and experienced Manufacturing Operations Consultants to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of manufacturing principles, process improvement methodologies, and a proven ability to analyse, recommend, and implement solutions that enhance operational efficiency, reduce costs, and improve overall productivity for our clients. This role involves working closely with manufacturing organizations to identify challenges, develop strategic solutions, and guide successful implementation. You will work on a diverse range of projects, from strategic planning to hands-on implementation, across various manufacturing industries; Energy, Chemicals, Consumer Goods & Retail, Food & Beverage, Metals, Mining and Minerals, Industrial Manufacturing, and Private Equity.
Responsibilities:
- Lead project teams in support of different project workstreams, and manage overall project activities, plans, and schedules associated with deliverables and milestones.
- Lead, guide and support multiple workstream leads / consultants to perform studies, analyze data, evaluate results, identify performance gaps and work to develop and implement interventions in a myriad of industrial and support processes including production, maintenance, reliability, supply chain, sanitation, and/or management systems.
- Lead, guide and support multiple workstream leads / consultants through the design and implementation of targeted change strategies, including identification of change impacts to people, process, policy, and structure, stakeholder identification and alignment, appropriate communication and feedback loops, success measures, training, organizational readiness, and long-term sustainability.
- Drives day-to-day workstream activities while providing the appropriate levels of support and coaching for EFESO and client team members.
- Develop project delivery strategy to deliver complex business cases such as OEE improvement, supply chain network optimization, maintenance effectiveness.
- Lead analysis studies in production, maintenance, reliability, sanitation and management systems. Analyze data, evaluate results, and develop recommendations and road maps across multiple workstreams.
- Coach and guide project team members in EFESO key OEE areas; production, maintenance, reliability, sanitation and management systems.
- Build and maintain effective partnerships with key cross functional leaders (Division VP, plant director and department owners) and project team members.
- Work with account director, principal or partner in identifying other areas of sales opportunities / account expansion within the same project, division and/or account.
- Educate and coach project team members, sponsors, and functional leaders on change management principles, tools, and their roles in effective change
- Recommend appropriate new or revised change management tools and practices.
- Write project case studies
- Complete all other assigned duties
Requirements:
Education:
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering (Industrial, Mechanical, Manufacturing, Chemical), Operations Management, Business Administration, or a related field. Master's degree preferred.
- Relevant professional certifications (e.g., P.E., Lean Six Sigma Master Black Belt).
Experience:
- Minimum 10 years in Manufacturing, Engineering or Operations Environment; consulting experience preferred.
- Minimum 5 years of work experiencein Process Manufacturing, Maintenance & Reliability, Production Planning and Safety, Supply Chain, Warehouse and Logistics, etc.
- Experience with Continuous Improvement Tools, such as Kaisen, Lean, Six Sigma, 5S System, Total Productive Maintenance (TPM), Target Value Design (TVD) methodologies
- Minimum of 5 years’ experience leading project teams and managing deliverables.
Technical Competencies:
- Ability to lead, guide and coach project team members in areas such as production, maintenance, reliability, managements systems and sanitation.
- Ability to lead analysis studies in multiple areas and lead project definition and recommendations.
- Ability to interpret financial statements and P&L.
- Ability to be comfortable and credible in assessing the impact of change, communication and training need.
- Ability to effectively design, gain alignment and successfully execute significant change initiatives from project start to finish.
- Ability to prioritize, manage time effectively, escalate issues appropriately, and keep information confidential is critical to this position.
- A track record of successfully driving throughput, up-time and overall plant improvement programs is required.
- Thorough understanding of Lean methodologies and experience leading capital programs, turnarounds or major plant expansions
- Problem Solving & Analysis: Utilize structured problem-solving methods, prioritize effectively, ensure high-quality analysis through targeted data gathering and proficient execution.
- Consulting & Communication Skills: Master consulting tools (MS Office, Power BI), gain expertise in additional IT applications, communicate clearly using horizontal/vertical logic, excel in meeting participation and presentations, and maintain a professional presence with fluent English proficiency
- Experience in Capital Programs, turnarounds or major plant expansions, a plus
Soft Skills:
- Excellent oral and written communication skills, ability to interact effectively with all levels of management.
- Strong problem-solving and critical thinking abilities.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced, client-facing environment.
- Exceptional organizational and project management skills.
