Join our team as a PREP - LTC Coordinator!
Under the direction of the Regional Manager of Leadership and Administrator Support the PREP-LTC Coordinator is responsible for the coordination onboarding, orientation and management of the student placements in all Jarlette Health Services locations. The PREP-LTC Student Coordinator will be responsible for the management of student placements and preceptorship throughout the organization and will act as the liaison between each of the organization’s homes and the various educational institutions throughout the province.
We are looking for the following qualifications and traits:
- Preference will be given to candidates who hold a post-secondary diploma or degree.
- 2 years' experience in Long Term Care (Gerontology) preferred
- Minimum one (1) year of current related experience in project coordination and/or management
- Experience engaging with organizational partners
- Knowledge of the Fixing Long Term Care Homes Act (FLTCHA), 2021 and all applicable regulations.
- Comfortable working independently and as part of a team
- Experience with Google Suite;
- Must demonstrate an active interest in ongoing education
- Must be computer literate
- Must demonstrate strong communication (both written and verbal) and interpersonal skills
- Must demonstrate initiative and the ability to be creative and resourceful
- Must be flexible and adaptable to change
- Must be able to drive to multiple locations within a specified region
- Must hold a valid driver’s license
