Role Overview Clipwire Games is growing and looking for a Lead Data Analyst to own the analytics strategy across our Product organisation and help shape the future of our games through data.

This role is ideal for a senior analyst with deep technical expertise, strong strategic instincts, and a genuine passion for building high-performing teams. You'll work in close partnership with Product, Design, and Development leadership translating complex data into clear recommendations that directly influence product direction. You'll also be responsible for the standards, frameworks, and culture that make great analysis possible across the organisation.

You bring a rare combination of hands-on analytical rigour and the leadership presence to drive alignment at a senior level.

Key Responsibilities

  • Own the analytics roadmap for the Product organisation, in close partnership with Product leadership
  • Lead and mentor a team of analysts, supporting their development and fostering a high-performance culture
  • Design and standardise experimentation frameworks, economy models, and KPI taxonomies across titles
  • Serve as a senior thought partner to Product and Development leadership, translating findings into clear strategic recommendations
  • Oversee in-game instrumentation strategy, ensuring consistent standards across titles and feature delivery
  • Champion data literacy across the Product organisation, upskilling stakeholders on tools, thinking, and interpretation
  • Represent the data function in leadership forums, communicating priorities and value to the wider business
  • Maintain the quality and reliability of all analytical outputs through clear review and documentation standards

Skills, Knowledge and Expertise

  • Expert-level SQL, Tableau, Looker, and statistical/modelling methods
  • Experience defining and owning an analytics roadmap aligned to product strategy
  • Deep expertise in experimentation at scale - A/B, sequential, and multivariate testing
  • Strong understanding of game economy design, modelling, and simulation
  • Proven leadership and mentorship skills with a track record of developing analytical teams
  • Able to influence senior stakeholders with clear, well-evidenced recommendations
  • Comfortable translating ambiguous business problems into structured analytical frameworks
  • Experience partnering with Data Engineering and BI to shape scalable data infrastructure
  • Strong commercial awareness and ability to communicate the value of data to leadership
  • Background in mobile or free-to-play games is a strong asset

Clipwire Games provides a competitive total compensation package with a pay for performance rewards approach. The expected base pay range for this Canada based position is $90,000 to $110,000. Base compensation at Clipwire Games is based on a number of factors and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. It will also be determined based on the position offered and any other forms of compensation that may be provided as part of a total compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical and other benefits.
