As an Arbutus Room Cook, you ensure every dish is prepared with consistency, quality, and care. You work with focus and precision, contributing to the smooth flow of service and the high standards our guests expect. With a strong eye for detail and a collaborative approach, you help create a dining experience that feels refined, welcoming, and memorable.
What you’ll do
- Prepare high-quality, consistent, and visually appealing dishes
- Complete opening and closing duties and daily prep tasks
- Follow recipes and kitchen guidelines with accuracy
- Stock and prep items to ensure smooth service
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe workspace
- Support teammates and contribute to a collaborative, positive kitchen culture
- Uphold food safety and sanitation standards at all times
What you’ll bring
- Minimum 2 years of culinary experience in a high-volume or fine dining kitchen
- Strong technical cooking skills with proven ability to execute dishes to a high standard
- Confidence working under pressure while maintaining accuracy and attention to detail
- Professional communication skills and a collaborative approach
- A strong sense of accountability and pride in your craft
- Flexibility to work evenings (until 11:30 pm), weekends, and holidays
- Reliable transportation to and from Brentwood Bay Resort
