About the role
NHS Fife is offering an exciting opportunity for a motivated and enthusiastic individual to join our Cancer Audit Team as an MDT Coordinator. This permanent role is ideal for someone looking to develop their skills in a fast-paced, patient-focused environment.
As an MDT Coordinator, you’ll play a vital role in ensuring that the journey of each cancer patient is coordinated seamlessly. You’ll be responsible for organising regular multidisciplinary team (MDT) meetings, tracking patients on the 62- and 31-day cancer pathways, and supporting the submission of monthly waiting times data. Your work will directly contribute to improving outcomes and experiences for patients across NHS Fife.
Key Responsibilities
- Coordinate and support weekly MDT meetings for cancer patients.
- Monitor urgent referrals and ensure timely progression through cancer pathways.
- Collect, collate, and report data for cancer waiting times and performance monitoring.
- Build strong working relationships with a wide range of clinical and administrative staff.
What We’re Looking For
- A high standard of education (minimum Higher level or equivalent experience).
- Excellent organisational and communication skills, with the ability to influence and present effectively.
- Strong IT skills and confidence in using data systems.
- Knowledge of clinical audit processes and NHS waiting times targets.
