To further enable our technology transformation strategies, we are seeking an enthusiastic and forward-thinking individual to advance the adoption and maturity of our portfolio of Power Platform and AI-enabled solutions. Reporting to the Director of Application Development, the Manager of Power Platform & AI Solutions is responsible for the end-to-end ownership, delivery, governance and operational stability for associated technology solutions. This position combines development leadership and platform accountability to ensure solutions are user-centered, scalable, secure, and reliable throughout their lifecycle. Within this role, key responsibilities include:

Leadership & Stakeholder Engagement Lead, mentor, and develop a multidisciplinary team (DevOps). Foster a high-performance, collaborative team culture that motivates staff, builds capability, and supports continuous learning and innovation. Champion user-centered design, accessibility, and usability across platform-based solutions. Build and maintain strong partnerships with project teams, architects and business stakeholder groups to align delivery with organizational priorities.

Platform Strategy & Product Ownership Act as product leader for Power Platform, while expanding organizational AI capabilities, by defining and executing associated strategies and roadmaps ‘ Translate organizational priorities and business needs into a prioritized backlog of product features. Balance short-term delivery needs with long-term platform sustainability. Collaborate with the OCIO Architecture group to establish and evolve development standards, patterns, and guardrails for low-code and AI-enabled solutions.

Development & Platform Operations Ensure operational reliability of platform services, including performance, monitoring and service continuity. Ensure consistent application of secure coding, testing, and quality assurance practices. Oversee development execution including schedules, capacity planning, and dependency management across initiatives. Work closely with project delivery teams (e.g., Project Managers, Business Analysts, and stakeholders) to coordinate development efforts, manage risks, and communicate progress in clear, non-technical terms.

AI Enablement & Responsible AI Operations Identify and operationalize opportunities where AI solutions can deliver measurable business value, while applying appropriate governance, monitoring, validation, and guardrails to ensure reliability, transparency, and alignment with enterprise standards. Collaborate with security, privacy, legal, and policy partners to design and implement AI solutions that are both value-driven and enable responsible and ethical use of AI technologies. Support innovation with AI capabilities while ensuring solutions are scalable and supportable. Monitor AI solution performance and outcomes, driving continuous improvement and the adoption of responsible AI practices across teams (including awareness of risks such as bias, accuracy, and appropriate use). The incumbent may be asked to perform other related duties, as required.

Screening Criteria Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Computer Science, Information Technology, Information Systems, Engineering, or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Experience leading software development and/or support teams within an enterprise environment (including delivery oversight, coaching/mentoring, or team lead responsibilities). Experience supporting the operation and enhancement of software applications or platform services. Experience working with modern software development and delivery practices (including testing procedures, release management, and operational support). Experience with Power Platform low-code tools (asset). Experience with AI concepts, technologies or productivity tools (asset).

Assessment Criteria Knowledge of application development technologies and approaches. Proficiency with IT change management principles (e.g. incident/change/problem management, application security, etc.). Strategic planning skills (e.g., technology/product roadmaps). Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Ability to lead, mentor, and develop technical teams in a collaborative, high-performance environment. Ability to build and maintain effective working relationships (stakeholder management skills). Ability to manage time, priorities and tasks efficiently. Ability to effectively exchange information.
