Role description: We are seeking a Water and Wastewater Project Manager with 5 to 10 years of progressive experience in managing environmental and feasibility assessments, condition assessments, design and construction projects. As part of our growing Canadian Water Business, you will work closely with our Business Unit Director, Practice Group Leads and technical teams to deliver multi-disciplined projects. You will play a key role in bringing innovative approaches/ solutions to meet client needs.
Your projects will be delivered through a variety of approaches including traditional bid/build, design build and alternative delivery. Your role will require you to work closely with your team to deliver projects within budget and schedule that fully meet the client expectations and upload our high quality standards. Your role will also require you to participate in business development efforts by preparing proposals and building strong client relationships.
Role accountabilities: In this role, you will:
- Lead discipline engineering teams in the preparation of projects deliverables including detailed design drawings, specifications and cost estimates, Class Environmental Assessment studies, feasibility studies and condition assessments.
- Lead the preparation of technical memoranda/ reports for multi-disciplined projects.
- Manage and track project schedules and costs to identify challenges and develop strategies for delivery of services
- Liaise and meet with clients regularly to discuss project progress; chair project meetings and ensure preparation of agenda and minutes
- Complete internal financial reporting for assigned projects, including preparation of project forecasts and monthly reporting
- Ensure all quality reviews are completed, and results are well-documented in accordance with Arcadis’s quality policies and any project-specific requirements
- Prepare proposals and participate in regular business development activities, including client presentations and meetings
- Build strong relationships with clients through strong delivery
Qualifications & Experience: To thrive in this role, you should bring:
- An engineering license (P.Eng.), or equivalent experience, in good standing
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering or equivalent experience; a PMP designation is preferred.
- 5–10 years of experience managing water and wastewater projects, with a proven record of success.
The successful candidate will have excellent written and verbal communication skills, strong knowledge of project management systems, strong work ethic, superior organization skills and strong working knowledge of PM tools such as Oracle, PowerBI, MS-Project and P6.

The salary range for this position is $89,600-134,400. The base salary represents Arcadis’ hiring range for this position. Actual salaries will vary and will be based on various factors, such as location, skills, experience, and qualification for the role.
