Could you be the full-time Cost Engineer in São Paulo we’re looking for?

Your future role

Take on a new challenge and apply your costing and electrical engineering expertise in a cutting-edge field. You’ll work alongside collaborative and forward-thinking teammates.

You'll play a key role in shaping cost-efficient solutions and driving innovation in electrical systems. Day-to-day, you’ll work closely with teams across the business (engineering, sourcing, and manufacturing), support the electrical engineering team in adopting a design-to-cost approach, and much more.

You’ll specifically take care of estimating the technical cost of parts and systems defined by the electrical engineering team, but also support sourcing teams in supplier negotiations.

We’ll look to you for:

  • Realizing estimations of the technical cost of parts/systems defined by the electrical engineering team
  • Supporting the electrical engineering team in adopting a design-to-cost way of working
  • Participating in the creation of target costs
  • Supporting the sourcing team in negotiations with suppliers
  • Applying or developing methodologies to calculate the technical cost of electrical components/systems throughout the product development cycle
  • Applying or developing cost analysis methods for electrical components/systems
  • Proposing improvements to the design or manufacturing process to reduce technical costs
  • Promoting a cost-conscious culture within the engineering team
  • Providing detailed cost breakdowns of components to support the sourcing team during negotiations

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering
  • Experience in costing engineering, innovation departments, or electrical engineering
  • Strong competencies in costing methodologies
  • Proficiency in French and English (both fluent)
  • Ability to travel as required
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent communication and collaboration abilities

Bilingualism

Proficiency in French and English is required. Knowledge of a third language is considered an asset when working with our international partners, suppliers, colleagues, and customers. In Quebec, French remains the primary working language of our company.
