Purpose of a Dealer Service Representative
The Dealer Service Representative (DSR) is responsible for managing relationships with dealership partners, assisting with account inquiries, processing documentation, and ensuring a seamless financing experience for both dealers and their customers. This role requires strong communication skills, attention to detail, and a customer-focused mindset.
Responsibilities of a Dealer Service Representative
- Serve as the primary point of contact for all dealership inquiries via phone and email.
- Assist dealers with loan application submissions, approvals, and funding processes.
- Review and process financing documentation for accuracy and compliance with company policies.
- Respond promptly to dealer inquiries via phone, email, or in-person meetings.
- Provide training and guidance to dealership staff on Northlake Financials products and procedures.
- Collaborate with internal departments (e.g., underwriting, funding, collections) to resolve dealer or customer issues.
- Monitor dealer account activity and provide regular updates on funding status, delinquency, or policy changes.
- Maintain accurate records of dealer interactions and transactions in company systems.
- Identify opportunities to improve dealer experience and recommend process enhancements.
- Other tasks as assigned.
Requirements of a Dealer Service Representative
- Must be able to work an 8-hour shift, Monday to Friday, between the hours for 8am and 8pm.
- 2+ years of related experience Experience selling in indirect automotive or consumer lending, financial services is an asset
- Post-Secondary education in Business or Commerce is an asset Valid Driver's license
- Dexterous in using productivity tools and end-user software including MS Office suite
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills including strong written and verbal
- Successful track record of growing sales and ability to deliver outstanding customer service.
Compensation of a Dealer Service Representative
- Base Salary of $40,000 annually Competitive Commission Structure with performance-based earning potential
