About the Opportunity
JORI is expanding! We are currently looking for a full-time Project Manager to join our team in Calgary, Alberta on a hybrid work model. Reporting to the Chief Operating Officer, you are responsible for planning, coordinating, and delivering cross-functional initiatives that improve operational clarity, efficiency, and performance. The role ensures projects are executed in a structured, disciplined, and outcome-focused manner, coordinating stakeholders across operations, finance, and support functions.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Project Planning & Execution

Translate objectives into clear project plans with defined phases, milestones, and deliverables
-
Develop and maintain project schedules, dependencies, and critical paths
-
Ensure execution aligns with agreed scope, timelines, and quality standards
-
Proactively manage risks, issues, and dependencies
Stakeholder Coordination & Communication
-
Coordinate cross-functional stakeholders across operations, finance, and leadership
-
Facilitate workshops, working sessions, and progress reviews
-
Clarify roles, responsibilities, and expectations
-
Maintain clear, timely communication with all stakeholders
Governance, Control & Reporting
-
Establish and maintain project governance and reporting structures
-
Track progress against milestones and deliverables
-
Produce concise status reports for leadership
-
Escalate risks, delays, and decisions required in a timely manner
Process & Business Analysis Support
-
Support process mapping, documentation, and validation activities
-
Ensure consistency and accuracy of documented processes
-
Identify gaps, inefficiencies, and improvement opportunities
-
Support translation of findings into actionable recommendations
Change & Adoption Support
-
Supporting management activities associated with new processes or ways of working
-
Identify adoption risks and stakeholder resistance
-
Assist leaders in communicating effectively
-
Support embedding improvements into day-to-day operations
About You
Must Haves:
-
At least 2 years of experience in a Project Manager or related role
-
Proven experience managing cross-functional projects
-
Demonstrated ability to deliver projects with multiple stakeholders and dependencies
-
Experience working in operational or business-critical environments
-
Strong organizational, planning, and coordination skills
-
Experience producing structured project documentation and reporting
Good to Have**:**

Experience in logistics, freight forwarding, customs, or financial operations
-
Exposure to process mapping or operational improvement initiatives
-
Experience working with remote or distributed teams
-
Experience in regulatory or compliance-driven environments
-
Experience with CargoWise One, Monday.com, MS Visio is an asset

Knowledge of AI tools and technology is an asset
-
Budget creation, management and reporting is an asset

Familiarity with process mapping techniques such as swim lane diagrams, SIPOC, or value stream mapping
Education:

Post Secondary Degree in Project Management, Business Analysis, Business Administration, or related programs

Project management/change management certification (e.g. PMP, Lean Management, Prosci) preferred but not mandatory.

We are a Calgary based Canadian customs broker and freight forwarder offering services to non-resident and resident importers. While we specialize in the Canadian market we are able to move goods anywhere in the world. If necessary we can have the duty paid with the bill coming back to you so that you are able to sell as if you are in your customers' country. All of our customers are assigned an individual customer service representative who is trained, and familiar with, your unique needs.
