About the role

Rush Truck Centres of Canada is a part of Rush Enterprises, the largest commercial vehicle dealership group in North America. We represent a wide range of industry-leading truck, bus and trailer brands backed by parts, sales, service, collision repair, lease, and rental support. With 16 locations in Ontario and almost 600 employees and growing, we are looking for top talent to join our team.

Reporting to the General Manager, the Sales Representative/Sales Account Manager for Buses is required to promote products and services by Rush Bus Centres of Canada, prospecting for new customers, developing relationships, and growing an existing customer base. This is a full-time position at our Rush Truck Bus Centres of Canada for the Maritime/Atlantic Region.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Understanding the needs of new and existing customers and matching them with the appropriate products and services.

  • Responsible for an assigned sales territory and/or customer list; maintain accurate and realistic customer account lists, solicit new conquest customers and retain existing accounts.

  • Prospect for new clients and grow existing customer sales in order to meet/ exceed your annual sales objective.

  • Prepare and present quotes for new and used vehicles, as required.

  • Where applicable, show customers stock vehicles that meet their needs.

  • Complete and submit all pertinent and necessary paperwork (documents, report) required to finalize a vehicle sale or lease, including the financing.

  • Maintain up-to-date and accurate CRM sales information.

  • Follow-up with customers after the purchase and handle customer post-sale inquiries.

  • Participate in, and complete necessary product and sales training.

  • Participate in industry events and sales meetings as required and directed by management.

  • Comply with all Health and Safety, and Environmental policies and procedures.

  • Expected to have a positive attitude and promote a healthy work environment.

  • Other related duties as assigned.

Requirements:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent. College or post-secondary education is preferred.
  • Two years of sales experience.
  • Previous experience in the school bus or automotive or related industry experience preferred
  • Competency in the following areas required; customer service, administrative skills, time management and marketing.
  • Proficient with software and computers.
  • Highly motivated individual and energetic self-starter.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and customer focus.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Valid G Class Driver’s License.
  • Criminal Record Check.
  • Drivers Abstract

Basic Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or equivalent. College or post-secondary education is preferred.
  • Previous experience in Bus, Heavy Truck, Automotive, or related industry experience preferred.
  • Competency in the following areas required: customer service, administrative skills, team building, proficiency with software and computers.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and customer focus.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Warranty Experience is an asset.
  • SAP experience is an asset
  • Criminal Record Check.
  • Valid driver’s license and Drivers Abstract.
