Semios’ Technology team is seeking a highly skilled and motivated IT Systems Administrator to manage, maintain, and optimize our organization’s IT infrastructure. The ideal candidate will ensure the reliability, security, and efficiency of our systems, networks, and related technologies, while providing technical support to staff and customers. This role includes both proactive system management and responsive support to ensure a seamless technology experience for internal and external stakeholders.
What you will do:
Technical Environment & Systems Administration
- Provide Level 1–2 support for internal customers, escalating issues where necessary.
- Support endpoint devices throughout their lifecycle: procure, install, configure, deploy, maintain, and decommission. This includes laptops running Windows 11 and macOS, and mobile devices running iOS, iPadOS, and Android.
- Manage devices through policies, configuration profiles, or MDM tools where applicable to ensure security, privacy and reliable operations.
- Oversee and optimize Google Workspace, Microsoft 365, Jira, Slack, and other internal systems.
- Manage identity, access, and licensing across our applications and services
- Enable and maintain SSO and other infrastructure integrations for systems used by HR, Finance, Marketing, Engineering, and other teams.
- Provide technical support for office technology, including meeting room hardware, displays, internet, Wi-Fi, network equipment, and telecom solutions.
- Manage onboarding and offboarding processes in an efficient and secure manner by providing users with proper access and hardware.
Security & Compliance
- Proactively enforce international best-practice security standards for devices, data, and systems.
- Ensure robust asset and product security, including SSO, encryption, and user adherence to security protocols.
- Enhance Semios security posture and continuous improvement in this area.
Process Improvement & Automation
- Identify recurring issues and create streamlined workflows.
- Implement automation tools and integrations to reduce manual effort.
- Recommend and roll out best practices across the business.
- Contribute to team project initiatives, bringing ideas and improvements to the organization.
Requirements
We want you to succeed so you will need:
- 3–5 years of experience as a System Administrator or similar role.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- Problem-solving and analytical skills to troubleshoot and resolve issues.
- Proven ability to manage priorities, balance workload, and communicate effectively across time zones.
- Experience managing and optimizing Google Workspace, Microsoft 365, and related SaaS environments.
- Experience supporting front-end developers, product, and SaaS specialists in a global company.
- Experience with MDM (macOS, iOS, iPadOS, Microsoft Windows), AWS, Atlassian / Jira, Slack, Salesforce CRM, Dynamics 365, SSO Management.
Nice to have:
- ITIL Foundation, CompTIA Certifications an asset.
- Familiarity with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) concepts.
- Exposure to Ruby on Rails environments.
- Background in agricultural technology or SaaS businesses.
Salary range: $76,000 to $98,000 per year
Please note that the base pay offered may vary based on factors including but not limited to knowledge, skills and experience, as well as business and organizational needs.
Please note this role requires you to be on-site at our office three days per week. Flexibility with working hours is essential to meet the needs of our team.
