Location: Trinity Christian School

Anticipated Start Date: March 23, 2026 (or a mutually agreed upon date)

Anticipated End Date: June 26, 2026

Assignment: Educational Assistants (two positions available)

Annual Hours: Full-Time Temporary (daily hours to be determined)

Located in the City of Calgary and supporting students from Kindergarten to Grade 9 , Trinity Christian School invites enthusiastic individuals to apply for one of the two, Temporary, Full-Time Educational Assistant position available starting March 23, 2026. Qualifications:

  • Completion of a recognized post-secondary certificate or recognized vocational certificate in child care/development or healthcare with demonstrated successful practicum experience working with students and children with complex medical needs
  • Other equivalent combinations of directly related education and directly related experience may also be considered
  • Current Standard First Aid and CPR certificates (Child CPR Certificate is a strong asset)

Responsibilities:

  • Ensures student safety, personal safety and safety of others
  • Works collaboratively with the classroom teacher (K-6) to address academic, behavioural, English as an Additional Language and social-emotional challenges.
  • Support in the collection of data to demonstrate student progress.
  • Provide input into planning the student’s Individual Program Plan. Participates, as required, as a member of the student’s learning team in periodic meetings with the students, parents/guardians to review goals and develop revisions. Collects data to support student growth and the IPP development.
  • Communicates with the student’s learning team members to provide information of interest and receive information that may impact the child’s progress.
  • Works with students in a variety of settings in the school and community, including assisting in the supervision of students at breaks or on field trips as required.
  • Performs other related duties as required.

To support the Faith-Based Vision of the school and the society, the applicant should also possess:

  • A commitment to Christian education.
  • Provide a Statement of personal Christian Faith detailing a commitment to Christian Faith and education, with an accompanied letter of Pastoral reference (required).

In order to maintain a safe and secure working environment, applicants new to The Palliser School Division must provide:

  • Criminal Record Check, including vulnerable sector check from Local Police Service or RCMP detachment;
  • Social Insurance Number (SIN) card or document issued by Service Canada; SIN card/document must be in current legal name. Name on SIN card/document must match your Government Issued ID and Criminal Record Check;
  • Government issued ID - valid driver's license, valid passport or nexus card.

The Palliser Regional Schools is a school jurisdiction located in southern Alberta. The geographical area stretches from just south of Lethbridge to the Bow River south of Calgary. Palliser Centre houses the Central Office Administration, Maintenance and Transportation Services and is located in the City of Lethbridge. In addition, a satellite Maintenance Shop has been set up in the Town of Vulcan. The division offers full public education services to approximately 8,1000 students from early childhood services through Grade 12. Palliser has 15 community schools, 17 Hutterian colony schools, 10 Christian alternative schools, nine of which are in Calgary on seven different campuses, four outreach programs, an online school, and two dedicated Low German Mennonite alternative programs. One of our outreach schools and a junior high in one of our community schools also serve the LGM community.
