Maintenance & Cleaning Description
Our Stampede Maintenance and Venue Services teams are hardworking, responsible for keeping the highest standards of cleanliness on our grounds, outdoor spaces, and gardens. Here at Stampede, we provide exceptional service to our guests, clients, and internal departments.
These positions are seasonal roles, for the Calgary Stampede celebration in July 2026.
Park Maintenance****Responsibilities
Responsibilities of our Maintenance and Cleaning teams can include, but are not limited to:
- Providing exceptional customer service to all guests.
- Maintaining appearance and cleanliness of outdoors spaces, parking lots, and gardens.
- Removal of trash from bins, ensuring that bins aren’t full.
- Assisting with manual tasks.
- Adhering to all safety & environmental programs and procedures to ensure a safe and healthy work environment.
Positions that work with the Stampede Maintenance (Park and Facility Services) teams can include:
-Park Maintenance -Sweeper -Landscaping/Grounds Keeper
Venue Services Responsibilities
Responsibilities of our Venue Services team can include, but are not limited to:
- Providing exceptional customer service to all guests.
- Perform exceptional housekeeping services in our world-class venues.
- Maintain appearance and cleanliness of washrooms in indoor and outdoor spaces.
- Maintain appearance and cleanliness of seat decks in indoor and outdoor spaces.
- Removal of trash from bins, ensuring that bins aren’t full.
- Restock indoor venues with supplies as required.
- Adhere to all safety and environmental programs and procedures to ensure a safe and healthy work environment.
- Some venues include working near large animals, and exposure to animal dander (Cows, Horses, etc.).
Positions that work with the Stampede Cleaning teams can be from several different departments here on park and can include:
-Venue Services Attendant
Please note that all applicants will be required to:
- Be 15 years of age or older by June 2026
- Be legally entitled to work for any employer in Canada
- Have a Social Insurance Number
- Have a bank account in their own name
- Must successfully participate in a criminal background check if 18 years of age or older
- Be available to work for all 10 days of the Calgary Stampede
- Complete and comply with all required training and policies
