About the role
Description Of Team/Department The Martel Lab, Physical Sciences Platform, SRI are recruiting a research assistant to join a project on AI guided reporting for LN histopathology whole slide images.
Summary Of Duties Duties include, but are not restricted to, the following
- Carry out interviews with pathologists at Sunnybrook to understand needs
- Design an AI report for LN WSIs
- Develop python software to extract information from AI output to insert into the IMS
- Design experiments to assess the AI algorithm and analyse results
Skills / Experience Required
- Previous research experience in the area of human computer interaction
- Previous research experience in a hospital environment
- Proficiency in Python programming, including pandas and matplotlib
- Strong interpersonal, time management and organizational skills.
- Proven ability to contribute to scientific publications
Qualifications
- Successful completion of BSc(Hons) degree in medical sciences or related field
