Kopar Arena - 888 Dominion Street, Prince George, BC V2L 3N9

Terms: Part-Time, Temporary

Hours: 2-20 hours per week

Shift: Shifts times vary between mornings, afternoons, and evenings

Start Date: October 27, 2025

End Date: March 21, 2026

Salary: $20.00 per hour

Reports To: Supervisor, Skating Services

Nature & Scope

The Ice Attendant is responsible for maintaining a safe ice skating environment, assisting guests with skating equipment, enforcing facility rules, and providing excellent customer service to ensure a positive experience for all patrons

Major Responsibilities**-** in this position, you will**:**

  • Provide on-ice supervision during program times
  • Ensure ice rules are being followed
  • Support rental shop and skate sharpening when needed
  • Perform first aid when required
  • Provide excellent customer service to school groups and members of the public, assisting with any questions or concerns
  • Perform opening and closing tasks
  • Complete all checklists, incident reports, and other documentation as required
  • May also be trained as a cashier

Qualification**-you bring:**

  • Be at least 18 years of age
  • Possess a valid SFA and CPR C certificate
  • Strong skating ability
  • Have access to reliable transportation
  • Physical ability to do the job as required
  • Strong customer service skills
  • Successful candidate will be required to provide 3 satisfactory references
  • Successful candidates will be required to provide a current and satisfactory Criminal Record check with a Vulnerable sector search issued no later than six (6) months preceding the start date.
