Job Overview:

Utilizes Robotic welding equipment for Fruitland Manufacturing. You’re looking for an organization that respects you, encourages lifelong learning, and makes a high-quality, essential product.

Responsibilities:

• Fit metal components as per provided blueprints/drawings and specifications, ensuring all tolerances are met;
• Using processes such as GMAW (MIG) to fuse together metal segments;
• Operate welding equipment (manual and robotic)
• Program and operate Motoman robotic weld equipment
• Ensuring that all tasks are performed in the allotted time provided and in accordance with Health and Safety regulations and company policies and procedures;
• Basic maintenance of welding equipment. Operate metal working equipment including press brake, roll forming, saws, etc.

Requirements:

• 2+ years of welding and fitting environment. High School Diploma or GED

Core Competencies:

• Ability to operate manual and machine hand tools, CNC metal cutting machines, and complete assembly/sub assemblies per drawings;
• Ability to work independently, as a team member or with supervision;
• Manual Dexterity and hand-eye co-ordination;
• Able to stand for extended periods of time and handle heavy loads (up to 50lbs)
• Ability to adjust quickly to changing priorities and conditions Ability to operate fork lift and cranes (trainings provided by company)

Preferences:

Experience and ability to read and understand fabrication prints;

Travel & Work Arrangements/Requirements:

This position will be based at our site in Barrie, ON no travel.
