Sr. ServiceNow Discovery Developer-Software Developer - API - Senior: On behalf of our IT client, Procom is searching for a Sr. ServiceNow Discovery Developer-Software Developer - API - Senior for a 6-month role. This position is a hybrid position with 2 days onsite at our client’s Toronto, ON office.
Sr. ServiceNow Discovery Developer-Software Developer - API - Senior - Job Description: This role is focused on a critical project involving ServiceNow Discovery and MID Server configuration. The candidate will be responsible for integrating ServiceNow with third-party tools and enhancing CMDB population. The project aims to improve the platform's discovery capabilities both on-prem and in cloud environments.
Sr. ServiceNow Discovery Developer-Software Developer - API - Senior - Responsibilities:
- Configure and manage ServiceNow Discovery and MID Servers.
- Develop and customize probes, sensors, and patterns for efficient discovery processes.
- Integrate ServiceNow with various third-party tools for enhanced CMDB functionality.
- Analyze and implement network protocols such as SNMP, WMI, SSH, API, and JDBC.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless project execution.
Sr. ServiceNow Discovery Developer-Software Developer - API - Senior - Mandatory Skills:
- Minimum 5+ years of hands-on experience with ServiceNow Discovery and MID Server configuration.
- Strong expertise in custom probes, sensors, and patterns for on-prem and cloud discovery.
- Proven experience integrating ServiceNow with third-party tools and CMDB population.
- Deep understanding of network protocols (SNMP, WMI, SSH, API, JDBC) and credential-based access.
- ServiceNow Certified Implementation Specialist (CIS) – Discovery or ITOM certification.
Sr. ServiceNow Discovery Developer-Software Developer - API - Senior – Nice-to-Have Skills:
- Experience with public sector projects.
- Strong problem-solving and teamwork skills.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Experience with accessible technology solutions.
- Additional ServiceNow certifications.
