Dedicated to creating experiences our guests and team members are amazed by, Prospect Point Café is looking for a hands-on, efficient Dishwasher. If you are passionate about quality service, organization, and enjoy working on a kitchen team we would love to hear from you. Main duties include: loading and unloading the dishwasher, paying close attention to clean appearance of individual items, maintaining overall cleanliness of the kitchen, assisting the Head Chef and Line Cooks with necessary tasks and following opening and closing procedures. What You'll Do Liaise with the Front of House Team in a positive manner Participate in daily shipping, receiving, distribution of kitchen supplies Remove full garbage, recycling and other waste to the applicable storage areas Clean, sanitize and stock dishes, cutlery, glassware and cooking ware in designated areas Assists with the cleaning, sanitation, and organization of kitchen, walk-in cooler, and all storage areas Assist in maintaining a clean and safe work area in the kitchen, specifically the line, prep area and floors Follow all HAACP and Food Safe requirements Follow all procedures outlined in the Team Member Handbook Take reasonable care to protect your own, co-workers and Guest’s health and safety Be alert to hazards and immediately report any concerns of yours or our guests to your supervisor Ensure your ability to work without risk to your health and safety or any other person’s safety is not impaired by alcohol, drugs or other causes What You’ll Get Complimentary coffee, tea, hot chocolate and soda while on shift, when using your reusable cup 30% discount off regular-priced merchandise at The Trading Post Gift Store 30% discount at Stanley's Bar & Grill and Prospect Point Café 30% discount on food & beverage items within Capilano suspension Bridge Park, including The Cliff House Restaurant, Loggers' Grill, Beary Waffles, and The Cabin (does not apply to alcohol) Guest passes to Capilano Suspension Bridge Park for friends & family Referral bonuses Employment & Family Assistance Program, offering five free online counselling sessions per topic for our staff Job Qualifications Food Safe Level 1 certification is an asset Strong communication skills, multilingual is considered an asset Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment with the ability to multi-task Positive attitude and a strong desire to provide experiences Guests are amazed by Occasionally required to lift and carry up to 20lbs, climb a step ladder or climb a step stool Able to work a variety of shifts including evenings, weekends and holidays, to meet the needs of the business Considerations The ideal candidate must be available to work evenings, weekends, and holidays. Must be able to stand for extended periods and lift up to 40 lbs. Need to be comfortable working in a high-temperature, high-pressure environment during peak service hours.
The wage for this role is $19.33 per hour plus gratuities. This role is a seasonal summer contract that will run up until October 2026.
