Centre d'Hygiene des Hautes Laurentides, a division of Imperial Dade Canada, has a job open in Mont-Laurier, Qc. The hybrid Van Driver and warehouse specialist is responsible for delivering product to our customers in a safe and professional manner, on time and accurately.

Responsibilities:

  • Driver Responsibilities:
  • Driving delivery equipment within the surrounding areas responsible for delivering product to our customers in a safe and professional manner, on time and accurately.
  • Loading and unloading stock in a secure manner for safe, damage-free transportation
  • Verifying all orders at time of delivery and delivering orders to meet customer specifications
  • Ensuring equipment and truck are in good working condition through adherence to delivery maintenance procedures
  • Familiarity with the completion of delivery registers and paperwork to ensure stock is accounted for.
  • Warehouse Responsibilities:
  • Picking orders and loading trucks
  • Ensure that stock is loaded safely, accurately and efficiently
  • Report any discrepancies to the Lead Hand and/or Warehouse Supervisor
  • Assist with daily warehouse housekeeping tasks
  • Report all product or bin sizing errors to the Inventory Verifier using the Bin Location Report Form
  • Perform Daily Circle Checks on material handling equipment before being used and complete the Daily Circle Check Form.

Qualifications:

  • High school graduate and/or related experience.
  • Two years of professional driving experience with a valid class 5 driver's license.
  • Previous warehouse experience required.
  • Current TDG/WHMIS knowledge would be considered an asset
  • Ability to use power loading equipment
  • Good interpersonal skills and ability to work as a team member
  • Good communication skills required.
  • Good understanding of computer and phone use.
  • Be able to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Dependable and reliable
  • Good decision making skills and ability to work independently

Working / Other conditions

  • Able to handle weight up to 23 kg (50 lbs).
  • Must be flexible regarding work hours.
  • Ability to work extended hours from time to time.
