About the role

Position Summary We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate**Health Care Aide (HCA)**to join our team on a casual basis. The HCA will work under the direction of nursing staff to provide personal care and assist residents with daily living activities.
Key Responsibilities

  • Assist residents with personal care (bathing, grooming, dressing, toileting)
  • Support mobility, transfers, and positioning
  • Observe and report changes in residents’ condition to nursing staff
  • Assist with serving meals
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and respectful environment
  • Build positive relationships with residents, families, and team members

Qualifications

  • Health Care Aide Certificate (recognized program)
  • Current CPR/First Aid certification
  • Experience in Supportive Living Setting
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Clear criminal record check with vulnerable sector screening

Skills & Attributes

  • Compassionate and patient-focused
  • Reliable and flexible (must be available for various shifts, including evenings, nights, weekends)
  • Strong observational skills
  • Physical ability to perform job duties (lifting, transferring, etc.)
