EMPLOYMENT OPPORTUNITY
Position: REHAB THERAPY ASSISTANT
Facility: Lamont Health Care Centre
Status: Permanent Part-Time 0.71 FTE
Position Summary: Responsible for performing Resident treatments or therapy as directed by the
Rehabilitation Therapy Supervisor including applying a variety of muscle and joint treatments and physical
exercises; provides functional skills training; monitors and reports on Resident performance. Perform
various clerical duties related to the operation of the department. Must establish and maintain cooperative
working relationships with all team members and all departments.
Reporting to the: Rehab Services Supervisor
Qualifications:
- Must have successfully completed the two-year Therapy Assistant program at a
recognized school.

CPR and First Aid is an asset.

COVID-19 vaccination recommended.
-
At least one year of experience in a related setting is preferred.

Show genuine interest in patient care and rehabilitation of people with physical and/or
mental challenges.

Willing to learn skills on the job.

Possess good interpersonal and communication skills in dealing with staff, residents,
patients and their families.
- Be a strong team player who conducts herself/himself in a professional and ethical
manner.

Ability to adhere to Lamont Health Care Centre’s Mission and Philosophy.
Hours: 0.71 FTE - 0700-1230– Monday-Friday
Salary: As per the AUPE Multi-Employer Auxiliary Nursing Care Collective Agreement
