Job Information

The Field Operations Support Clerk plays a vital role in delivering seamless administrative and operational support at the regional level, serving Officers, staff, clients, and the public. This position is key to coordinating all resource harvest licensing activities in the Dehcho Region, including processing and maintaining records for hunting, guiding, and outfitting licenses, as well as ensuring accurate cash controls and inventory of license materials. The role also supports field officers in program delivery, notably through the Mackenzie Valley Fur Program, which involves purchasing furs, maintaining data in the Fur Harvesters Management System, assisting harvesters with sales, and facilitating fur exports to auction.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintains an appointment as a Wildlife Guardian required to authorize issuance of license.
  • Prepares permits and letters for issuance as directed.
  • Maintains inventory controls for accountable items, enforcement forms, tags, documents.
  • Communicates with Officers, Staff, Trappers and Fur auction to maintain accurate reports regarding fur pricing and sales for trappers, order shipping supplies, and coordinate fur shipment tracking.

Key Qualifications:

  • The completion of a post- secondary diploma in business administration or related field of study, or directly through one year of related experience.
