Director of Operations
About the role
Director of Operations Full-Time | Reports to Executive Director We are a growing senior-serving nonprofit preparing for expansion and seeking a strategic, systems-oriented Director of Operations to build the infrastructure and systems necessary to scale our impact. This leader will oversee daily operations, kitchen and catering services, facilities, community services, human resources, performance management and administrative functions. The Director of Operations supervises four direct reports and partners closely with the Executive Director to implement strategic priorities, strengthen internal systems, and shepherd the organization through this growth phase. Key Responsibilities Translate strategic goals into operational plans and measurable outcomes Build and/or develop scalable systems and processes to support organizational growth Oversee HR functions including recruitment, performance management, and workforce planning Ensure strong financial oversight, compliance, and internal controls Lead facilities and technology planning for expansion readiness Develop and coach managers to build leadership capacity Qualifications 8+ years of operational leadership experience 5+ years supervising managers Experience leading growth, expansion, and/or organizational scaling Budget oversight and systems implementation experience Strong HR and performance management expertise Nonprofit, human services, or senior services experience preferred We seek a collaborative, mission-driven leader who thrives in growth environments and is passionate about serving older adults.
