Position Summary Registered Technologist, General Radiography/CT/Ultrasound/Mammography Join Our Team as a Registered Medical Imaging Technologist! Are you passionate about advancing medical imaging and patient care? We are looking for a dedicated Registered Medical Imaging Technologists to join our dynamic team in General Radiography, CT, Ultrasound and Mammography. In this role, you will: Perform high-quality imaging examinations that meet the standards of our Department and the CMRITO. Operate state-of-the-art imaging equipment with precision and expertise. On a practical level, you will

  • Perform all imaging examinations as required, and all other duties as requested by supervisory personnel
  • Implement proper procedures and best practices (re: health, safety, and radiation protection) for patients, employees, and visitors
  • Assume operational responsibility when on shift
  • Assist the Radiologist when required
  • Adhere to established policies and procedures of the Department of Medical Imaging at North York General Hospital

Qualifications

  • Certification by the CAMRT. Those that have an immediate intent for writing the examination may be considered for a non-registered role.
  • Current registration with the College of Medical Radiation and Imaging Technologists of Ontario (CMRITO) and fulfilling the annual required continuing education as per the CMRITO
  • BCLS certification an asset
  • Post-graduate experience in a hospital setting preferred
  • Membership with the CAMRT is recommended
  • Experience in General Radiography, CT, Ultrasound and/or Mammography is an asset
  • Post-graduate courses in General Radiography, CT, Ultrasound and Mammography is an asset
  • IV and contrast injection experience and/or certification an asset
  • Bilingualism in French/English is an asset

What We Offer Working at NYGH means working with a dynamic team of fellow healthcare providers, staff, and volunteers in one of Canada’s leading hospitals. This is for variable shifts, Full Time and Part Time, 8 hours in duration including, day shifts, evening shifts, night shifts including weekends and on call assignments in the following units: General Radiography/CT/Ultrasound/Mammography . We offer a highly competitive total compensation package which includes pay in lieu of benefits, vacation pay and the opportunity to join the Hospital Pension Plan.
