About the role

Business Operations Manager - Regulatory Initiative Our client is a global eCommerce marketplace and they are seeking a Business Operations Manager to support a global regulatory initiative that coordinates responses to evolving regulations impacting a large digital marketplace ecosystem.

Location: Downtown Toronto

Hybrid / in-office: 2 days per week

Contract: 1 year (with potential for renewal)

The role supports the Head of Planning & Operations and focuses on keeping complex, cross-functional programs running smoothly. This includes coordinating stakeholders, maintaining operational reporting, preparing leadership updates, and ensuring visibility into risks, dependencies, and progress across the initiative.

Key Responsibilities

  • supporting day-to-day operations of a large regulatory program and maintaining program plans and tracking systems
  • coordinating weekly team meetings, leadership updates, and action tracking
  • preparing materials for senior leadership reviews and executive briefings
  • partnering with cross-functional teams including Product, Legal, Finance, Marketing, Analytics, and regional teams
  • drafting and distributing regular program communications and reporting updates
  • supporting annual and mid-year planning cycles and consolidating inputs from program leads
  • assisting with financial reporting, forecasts, and impact assessments
  • helping prepare business cases, investment proposals, and initiative reporting
  • contributing to executive summaries, benchmarking research, and special strategic projects

Requirements

  • 7+ years of professional experience in operations, program coordination, or business operations roles
  • strong experience managing cross-functional stakeholders and reporting cycles
  • excellent organizational and operational execution skills
  • ability to work across multiple workstreams in fast-moving and ambiguous environments
  • strong written communication and presentation development skills
  • comfort working with data, dashboards, and forecasting inputs
  • proven ability to support leadership teams with clear reporting and operational visibility
