Paladin Security is Hiring a Security Guard! Location: Fort Vermilion, AB

Schedule: Full Time — 12-hour shifts

Pay Rate: $26.01-$27.00/hour

Responsibilities

• Apply strong decision-making and communication skills in all security duties.
• Ensure all Safety and Emergency Procedures are followed.
• Follow site-specific Post Orders and attend all required training.
• Receive direction and guidance from Supervisors and Client Service Managers.
• Conduct traffic and pedestrian control at access points.
• Patrol assigned areas on foot or in vehicle to ensure security of personnel, equipment, and buildings.
• Monitor the environment for hazards or safety infractions.
• Watch for and report irregularities, breaches, hazards, and emergencies.
• Provide assistance to individuals as required.
• Contact emergency responders (police, fire, ambulance) when necessary.
• Maintain confidentiality and integrity of information.
• Respond to inquiries professionally and appropriately.
• Use two-way radios and computer applications.
• Conduct oneself with professionalism and integrity.
• Promote workplace safety and support co-workers to uphold Paladin standards

Requirements

• Must live within 30 minutes of Fort Vermilion
• Must be able to work 12-hour shifts
• Must have a reliable vehicle
• Availability for overnight, weekend, and varied shifts
• Ability to obtain Alberta Security License
• Valid Class 5 driver's licence & personal vehicle
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Strong customer service and interpersonal skills
• Ability to write thorough reports and maintain logs
• Ability to make immediate decisions under pressure
• High confidentiality when handling sensitive information
• Physical ability to walk 18-20 km and climb stairs
• Must be legally authorized to work in Canada
• First Aid & CPR Level C certification required
