Data Architect/Modeller - Senior: On behalf of our government client, Procom is searching for a Data Architect/Modeller - Senior for a 6-month role.

Data Architect/Modeller - Senior - Job Description: This project involves the development and implementation of data architecture for application development in a complex and distributed environment. The role focuses on designing data models for analytics and business intelligence, ensuring alignment with enterprise strategy and business architecture.

Data Architect/Modeller - Senior - Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement data architecture for application development
• Provide a standard common business vocabulary and express strategic data requirements
• Define conceptual, logical, and physical model mapping from data source to curated model and data mart
• Design dimensional data mart models and create source-to-target mapping documentation
• Conduct knowledge transfer and training sessions
• Develop documentation and materials for review and knowledge transfer
• Monitor identified milestones and submit status reports

Data Architect/Modeller - Senior - Mandatory Skills:

• Proficiency in SQL and Python, with hands-on experience using Databricks and Spark SQL
• Experience with at least two different platforms, operating systems, environments, database technologies, languages, and communications protocols
• Experience in the design, development, and implementation of data models for analytics and business intelligence
• Knowledgeable in BI modeling methodologies (Inmon, Kimball, Data Vault)
• Strong understanding of data quality principles
• Experience with middleware and gateways
• Experience in designing/developing an automated data distribution mechanism

Data Architect/Modeller - Senior – Nice-to-Have Skills:

• Knowledge and understanding of object-oriented analysis and design techniques
• Experience in developing enterprise architecture deliverables based on Ontario Government Enterprise Architecture processes
• Knowledge and understanding of information management principles, concepts, policies, and practices
• Experience creating detailed data standards to enable integration with other systems
• Knowledge and understanding of dimensional and relational data models

Data Architect/Modeller - Senior – Assignment Length: The assignment length is approximately 6 months, from October 1st to March 31, 2026.
