Description

Position: Programming Assistant, Bell Media
Location: Toronto, Ontario (Mobile - 3 days in office)
Salary: Commensurate with qualifications and experience
Status: Temporary - Full Time
Hours of Work: 40 hours per week. Overtime as required

Responsibilities

As part of the Entertainment Content Programming group, we are seeking a Programming Assistant to join our team for a 9-month contract position. The Programming Assistant is responsible for video publishing and merchandising across multiple websites, apps, set top boxes and third-party digital platforms at Bell Media. You will support daily building, scheduling, and curation of video content across many platforms internally and externally.

To be successful in this role, time management, attention to detail, organization, and the ability to work independently and collaboratively are key. Reporting to the Programming Manager, you will help support video distribution and merchandising across our platforms. You will work closely with multiple departments and stakeholders within the operations, production, programming, creative and digital teams.

Additional responsibilities include

  • Build, publish and maintain content & metadata across platforms using internal & external content management systems
  • Ensure all digital video and metadata is meticulously aligned with programming rights, schedules, and confidentiality
  • Merchandise content on various digital platforms in accordance with content curation plans
  • Brief in and manage design requests
  • Create image thumbnails consistent with third party platform specifications and optimization
  • Ensure extremely high-quality control and standards of content, information and communication
  • Work closely with the Bell Media operations team while liaising with internal departments to gather assets, rights, and schedules
  • Other duties as assigned

Minimum Qualifications

  • A minimum of two years working experience as a digital producer or manager of content required
  • College Diploma or University Graduate required

Preferred Qualifications

  • Excellent team player with superior communication and interpersonal skills
  • Strong ability to work under pressure and manage multiple projects with tight deadlines
  • Highly organized with a keen sense of time-management
  • Experience in reporting and analytics
  • Ability to thrive and work in an environment that is fast paced that demands the ability to execute against challenging timelines
  • Strong familiarity with Photoshop, content management systems, and video formats
  • Huge passion for television and pop culture
  • Knowledge of Axis and Amagi considered an asset
  • YouTube certification considered an asset

Adequate knowledge of French is required for positions in Quebec.
