Tax Manager - Cross-Border
About the role
Adecco is actively seeking a highly skilled and experienced Tax Manager - Cross-Border on behalf of our client in Mississauga, ON. This full-time opportunity is ideal for a tax professional with deep experience in US-Canada cross-border taxation, looking to take ownership of client files and provide high-quality advisory services in a complex, fast-paced environment.
In this role, you'll manage a variety of cross-border tax matters, support junior staff, and act as a key contact for clients on both Canadian and U.S. tax issues. You'll also collaborate with partners and contribute to the firm's continued growth through relationship-building and identifying service opportunities.
This opportunity offers a direct path to Principal and Partner level.
- Pay Rate: $120k/year.

Responsibilities:
- Preparing and reviewing U.S. and Canadian personal and trust tax returns, including forms such as 3520, 5471, 8621, 8858, and 8938
- Preparing U.S. state income tax filings and FinCEN Form 114 (FBAR)
- Completing ITIN (Form W-7) and W8-BEN/W8-BEN-E forms for reduced U.S. withholding
- Assisting with filings under Streamlined Foreign Offshore Procedures (e.g., Form 14653)
- Reviewing returns prepared by junior staff and providing guidance and feedback
- Advising clients and the firm on current developments in U.S. and Canadian tax law
- Offering insights on cross-border tax planning, international treaties, and social security issues
- Preparing financial statements, notes, and supporting working paper files
- Preparing corporate tax returns and assisting with corporate tax planning
- Leading client engagements, managing timelines and deliverables, and reporting to partners
- Identifying opportunities to expand client relationships and service offerings
- Participating in client meetings or leading them independently when needed
Requirements:
- Legal eligibility to work and reside in Canada.
- A CPA designation (Canada and/or U.S.)
- 5-7 years of experience in public accounting, with a focus on personal tax
- Solid experience in cross-border tax compliance and planning
- Strong understanding of U.S. and Canadian tax laws, international treaties, and reporting requirements
- Experience preparing or reviewing complex U.S. tax forms and Canadian tax filings
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Proven ability to manage client relationships and mentor junior team members
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
