We are seeking an experienced Mechanical Designer to design, customize, and manage the development of advanced hardware solutions that align with strategic goals and meet customer requirements. Job Type: Hybrid
Contract Type: Project-based (Full-Time)
Key Responsibilities
- Contribute as part of the team responsible for mechanical design.
- Analyze drawings, specifications, and requirements for both internal and external customers.
- Collaborate on design activities between engineering groups and manufacturing.
- Create detailed manufacturing, assembly, and installation drawings.
- Develop technical solutions to meet project requirements.
- Provide support to the manufacturing team on the shop floor.
- Participate in continuous improvement initiatives.
Basic Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent (minimum 5 years of experience).
- Strong knowledge of mechanical engineering concepts.
- Proficiency in CAD systems (PTC Creo required; SolidWorks or CATIA an asset).
- Experience with PLM systems (Windchill preferred).
- Ability to design and manage large assemblies, sheet metal, and surface models.
- Strong troubleshooting skills in a manufacturing/shop floor environment.
- Excellent teamwork and communication skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and work under pressure to meet deadlines.
- Bilingualism (French & English) is essential.
