What you'll be doing

You’ll be joining CIBC’s Global Wires and Payments Technology (GWPT) team and to provide technical expertise for small to medium, complex projects/initiatives as they relate to the implementation and support of application and/or infrastructure technology in a multi-platform environment. You will also work with team to provide on call support for tier 1 critical applications. Enterprise Wires Modernization (EWM) is a multi-year program that will implement a new modernized wire payment platform and you should be learning and keep yourself up to date with latest changes to carry out the Support activities.

How you'll succeed

  • Analysis & Support: Evaluate service requests to ensure adherence to standards and processes. Coordinate and/or execute implementation plans. Along with the above, you need to ensure the application and infrastructure is up to date as per the CIBC Currency standards.
  • Troubleshooting Skills: Identify and resolve small to medium complex production problems. Monitor and analyze supported services to identify opportunities for improvement and recommend solutions.
  • Manage & Influence - Lead project coordination efforts in on-boarding clients, synchronize internal technology teams to provide optimal end-to-end solution for both internal and external clients and Identify proactive solutions for recurring technology occurrences to benefit the business.

Who you are

  • You can demonstrate minimum 7+ years of experience in Linux, JAVA, J2EE, JBOSS EAP, JBOSS JWS (Apache & Tomcat), Log4J, Oracle, IBM MQ (Preferred), GitHub, SSO preferred with SAML 2.0 .Nice to have Exposure to Infrastructure knowledge ( Firewall, DNS etc.),Tandem (HP Nonstop) and BESS application. Knowledge on SWIFT related products (SAG, AWP, AMH, etc.) is added advantage. Understanding of Citrix platform and exposure to cloud technologies and REST API/SOAP is an added advantage. Experience in Production support for a high availability critical Application is added advantage. Willing to take up 24/7 production support on a rotational basis. Very good experience to Incident & Change management. Willing to work on Infrastructure upgrade activities and support the verification for Infrastructure implementations. Ability to lead and support the Disaster recovery exercise end to end by collaborating with all the teams (Infrastructure, Business & Interfaces) and support all the BAU activities (Internal and External Audits, Enterprise Standards, Policies & Procedures, Documentation).
