SENIOR PROJECT MANAGER (18 MONTH CONTRACT)

The Senior Project Manager is responsible for developing project management strategies, processes, governance, and communications across multiple portfolios and programs that impact the customer shopping experience. Working closely with Marketing, eCommerce, Product Management, Technology, and other cross-functional partners, this role provides leadership, visibility, and oversight across complex initiatives and strategic programs.
Leading a team of Project Managers, Specialists, and/or Coordinators, the Senior Project Manager drives operational excellence through effective governance, roadmap management, stakeholder engagement, resource planning, and execution oversight. The role requires strong project management expertise, thought leadership, communication skills, and the ability to influence teams across the organization to deliver business outcomes on time and with measurable impact.
Key Responsibilities
Project Management Leadership & Governance
Establish, govern, and promote project management standards, methodologies, processes, and tools across business units. Drive adoption of project management best practices and support organizational transition to new processes and tools. Partner with IT Project Management and Product Management teams to execute change management initiatives. Develop and deliver project-related training, communications, and stakeholder presentations. Lead and manage a team of Project Managers, Specialists, and/or Coordinators, providing coaching, mentorship, and performance support.
Portfolio & Delivery Management
Manage and oversee multiple product, portfolio, and program roadmaps across eCommerce, Marketing, Data, Analytics, UX, and other business functions. Partner with leaders to establish clear objectives, key results (OKRs), and post-launch KPIs to measure portfolio, program, product, and feature success. Identify risks, dependencies, and resource constraints across projects and portfolios. Develop mitigation strategies and contingency plans in collaboration with stakeholders and senior leadership. Ensure projects and programs are delivered on time, within scope, and aligned with strategic priorities. Communicate portfolio, product, and program updates, risks, decisions, and business impacts to stakeholders and senior leadership through established reporting cadences.
Financial & Resource Oversight
Partner with Product Management and Finance leaders to plan, forecast, monitor, and manage expense budgets. Support resource allocation and capacity planning across portfolios and programs. Provide visibility into project and portfolio performance to support informed business decisions.

Office environment with frequent collaboration across corporate functions, Technology, Marketing, eCommerce, and Product Management teams.
Minimum Education
Bachelor's degree, diploma, or equivalent education in Business, Project Management, Technology, Marketing, or a related field preferred.
Minimum Years Of Work Experience
5+ years of project management experience, preferably within retail, eCommerce, consulting, technology, marketing, or digital environments. Experience managing complex cross-functional programs and portfolios. Experience with Agile and Scrum methodologies preferred. Experience in eCommerce, web development, marketing, advertising, or digital product environments preferred.
Minimum Leadership Experience
Experience leading and developing a team of Project Managers, Specialists, and/or Coordinators.
Certifications
PMP (Project Management Professional) certification preferred. Scrum Master certification considered an asset.
Other Requirements/Assets
Knowledge of and adherence to Home Depot policies and procedures. Experience implementing and administering project management and collaboration tools, including: Microsoft Office Suite JIRA Confluence MIRO Airtable Other project and portfolio management platforms Strong facilitation, presentation, communication, and stakeholder management skills. The pay range for this position is between $88,700.00 - $107,300.00
