Summary/Objective
The Field Service Technician II at Zund America provides advanced technical expertise in the installation, troubleshooting, repair, and preventative maintenance of equipment at customer sites. This customer-facing role requires a high level of professionalism, integrity, and punctuality. Technicians also provide remote technical support as needed. This position requires frequent travel throughout Canada and occasional international travel.
What You Would Do
Perform installation, troubleshooting, repair, and preventative maintenance of Zünd equipment at customer locations with minimal support from the Service Manager. Accurately document service activities and machine-related information in the ERP system (Salesforce cases). Complete administrative responsibilities including time entry (ADP), expense reporting reports (Concur), service reports, and warranty certificates-with minimal supervision or need for correction. Independently troubleshoot and resolve most mechanical, electrical, or system-related issues with limited support. Complete at least 50% of assigned e-learning and training requirements. Perform Generation 3 installations according to established schedules and quality standards. Clearly and effectively communicate pre-site requirements, expectations, and logistics with customers.
What We Require From You
Technical school graduate or minimum two years of field service experience in a related industry preferred (CNC machinery, industrial printers, automation equipment, packaging systems etc.). Strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills. Demonstrates honesty, dependability and a strong work ethic. Strong written and verbal communication skills. Energetic, self-motivated, and proactive, and results orientated. Strong critical thinking skills with the ability to solve problems in real time. Ability to work independently with minimal supervision. Demonstrates a high commitment to customer satisfaction. Willingness and ability to work flexible hours, including overnight travel as needed. Valid driver's license with the ability to travel extensively. Ability to obtain and maintain a valid passport and travel internationally as required. Proficiency in Microsoft Office; familiarity with Salesforce or similar CRM system is a plus.
