As part of a cross-functional team, the Sr. Manager Product Development, Marketing is responsible for coordinating all stages of the new product development for Tim Hortons Food portfolio, from concept stage to market-ready.
Responsibilities
- Oversee the end-to-end commercialization of new product innovations and initiatives (working with internal teams and co-manufacturers) across new platform development, LTO promotion, quality and cost improvements,
- Lead development, testing, evaluation of the new ingredients
- Create ingredient product specifications in the internal system
- Conduct external consumer sensory research and provides recommendations to the leadership
- Work with multiple cross-functional teams to transition projects from start to launch by meeting key timelines
- Attend plant trials and support product launches
- Works closely with cross functional teams to ensure product quality, compliance with Canadian regulations and specifications
- Attend existing and new ingredient evaluations at test laboratory to ensure all ingredient parameters meet specifications
- Works closely with the Procurement team to ensure ingredient pricing meets set targets
- Manage and leads team of two
Requirements
-
- 10 years of experience in Product Development, Food Science BSc or MSc
- Product Development experience working in food production/ manufacturing – ideally with QSR experience
- Sensory evaluation skills
- Passion for food and innovation
- Results-driven, self-motivated individual passionate about championing new ideas and improving current process
- Good knowledge of plant processes, equipment, ingredient functionality and food regulations
- Ability to build strong collaborative working relationship with cross functional teams
- Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office: Word, Excel and PowerPoint
- Excellent oral and written communications skills
