About the role

Job Description

In this role, you will be working as a Senior Business Systems Integrator for Digital Channels & Solutions at RBC. Digital Channels & Solutions looks after all customer interactions and processing required in the Online Banking and Mobile Channels. In this position you will be responsible for planning, delivery, and implementation projects to ensure goals and objectives are accomplished within approved timeframes, scope, and budget. You will be working closely with the Senior Management, Product Owners, Technical leaders and Project Managers to deliver E2E system solution components from conception to production. You will be part of a team that values: Collaboration, Sense of Pride and Ownership.

What will you do?

  • Lead the integrated project deliverables and timelines across multiple components
  • Participate in the solution design sessions with Product Owners, Solution Architects and Tech Leads
  • Identify as the SME for the end-to-end solution, understanding each integration point and understand work involved in delivering each component of the solution.
  • Build and maintain strong working relationships with our business and technology partners, collaborating on delivery
  • Offer guidance during all phases of the delivery lifecycle (discovery, definition, development, testing, implementation, and post implementation)
  • Provide viable options to the project team when issues are encountered
  • Establish strong working relationships across business units and channels to build influence and impact with key business partners.
  • Contribute to ongoing administrative program/project activities as required
  • Build E2E Integration schedules with stakeholders as applicable

What do you need to succeed?

Must have:

  • Minimum of 7 years of technical leadership/program management experience. Minimum of 2 years of recent financial services or fintech experience
  • Excellent understanding of Architectural concepts. Ability to build end to end project plans and manage multiple projects/programs simultaneously
  • Strong understanding of Microservices (Java/Spring Boot)
  • Strong mobile OS understanding (iOS/Android)
  • Ability to work cross functionally with multiple partners in different time zones. Ability to lead/influence others and build credibility/trust
  • Experience working with external technology vendors and partners
  • Iterative and Agile Delivery experience
  • Someone who can work with ambiguity, has a strong technical background (services/mobile (iOS/Android)), has experience working in a senior technology manager/lead capacity at a Financial Institution (including delivering a customer facing application from conception-live-warranty)
  • Strong analytical skills, self-starter, somebody who takes pride in their work
  • Results-oriented; able to meet consistently high-quality standards while managing a variety of tasks and deadlines simultaneously
  • B.S. in a technical discipline or equivalent experience

Nice have:

  • Previous experience on integrations utilizing cloud technologies (OCP4, Azure)
  • Delivery experience on APIs development both for internal and external
  • Previous delivery experience on product integrations leveraging mobile SDKs and web SDKs
  • Delivery experience on APIs development both for internal and external
  • Understanding of security and information security aspects
