Position Summary
We are seeking a skilled Large Format Print Specialist to run various digital printers including DGI, Klieverik, Oce6170 flatbed, HP 800, and Canon Colorado. The ideal candidate will be detail-oriented, adaptable to changing priorities, and capable of producing high-quality output under tight deadlines.
Key Responsibilities
- Prioritize work based on customer needs, workload, and machine capabilities
- Make suggestions regarding paper, binding, productivity, and color workflow options
- Evaluate output and make the necessary adjustments for good image quality
- Troubleshoot problems that arise during the printing process
- Inspect finished work and orders for quality, accuracy, count, and size
- Perform minor maintenance including cleaning, replenishing consumables, replacing filters and waste containers
- Gather, organize, and wrap completed work for delivery
- Report on equipment issues to the Production Manager
- Work overtime when necessary
Qualifications
- Background in Onyx or Caldera RIP software
- Experience with printing, large and small format.
- Familiarity with various printing media such as textiles, banners, and rigid substrates.
- Understanding color management and how materials, heat, and ink affect output.
- Strong attention to detail and customer service orientation.
- Excellent time management and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and under pressure.
Work Environment
- Fast-paced production setting with occasional cross-departmental support.
- Must be able to lift and move materials as needed.
- Flexible schedule with potential for overtime.
