StandardAero , a leader in providing world-class aerospace MRO services, is seeking a dynamic and results-driven Operational Excellence Project Manager to join our team. In this role, you’ll leverage your Lean expertise to implement strategic initiatives that enhance performance, reduce costs, and improve overall quality across our global operations. Summary:

As an Operational Excellence Project Manager at StandardAero, you will be responsible for driving continuous improvement initiatives in alignment with Lean principles and Operational Excellence standards. You will work closely with Business Units to develop and execute improvement plans, analyze business processes, and mentor teams in Lean methodologies to achieve optimal service, cost, and quality outcomes.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and evaluate improvement solutions to ensure alignment with Lean principles and Operational Excellence standards.
  • Analyze business processes to assess performance in terms of service, cost, and quality through interviews, measurements, tests, and observations.
  • Assist Business Units with the development and execution of improvement plans to meet performance objectives.
  • Document and deploy best practices across sectors, contributing to the Operations Excellence toolkit.
  • Analyze detailed data to identify performance gaps and opportunities for improvement.
  • Lead the creation of Project Charters, Statements of Work, and Project Plans while assisting in the selection of project team members.
  • Conduct cost-benefit analysis for improvement projects.
  • Mentor Business Unit personnel in implementing and maintaining Operational Excellence best practices.
  • Assist in the development and delivery of Operations Excellence training to enhance team capabilities.
  • Provide on-the-job training (OJT) to project team members to meet project objectives.
  • Facilitate the development of high-performance project teams and offer post-implementation support to customers.
  • Develop and deliver presentations both internally and externally to share insights and results.
  • Prepare, edit, and consolidate written reports for internal use.
  • Maintain expertise in Operational Excellence by completing professional development activities. Take on special projects as assigned to support organizational goals.

Position Requirements:

  • College/University degree in Engineering, Business Administration, Commerce, or a related field; or equivalent.
  • Formal Lean training or certification (e.g., Lean Six Sigma, Lean Practitioner, or similar certification) is required.
  • Extensive knowledge of Lean manufacturing and the Continual Improvement Process.
  • Proficiency in using PCs within the company's operating system environment.
  • Familiarity with production management computer systems and production equipment.
  • Strong facilitation skills to lead and guide teams through process improvements.
  • Excellent project management, planning, and organizational skills.
  • Strong analytical, leadership, interpersonal, decision-making, and communication skills (both oral and written).
  • Ability to travel up to 50% of the time. Lean expert with practical application experience in driving business transformation.
