As a Planning & Development Analyst you will be responsible for conducting qualitative and quantitative parking research and translating results into reports that directly support Calgary Parking (CP) management decision-making. Primary duties include:
- Conducting reviews and studies for new off-street and on-street parking locations.
- Project management and coordination of projects, programs, and promotions.
- Research, gather, tabulate and analyze data related to parking inventory, accumulation, turnover, duration of stay, occupancy, revenue, transactions, and market pricing.
- Participate in consultation and advise internal and external groups on off-street/on-street related business.
- Draft and manage lease agreements, Service Level Agreements (SLA), Memorandum of Understanding (MOU), and license of occupations for business, events and projects occurring on CP property.
- Collaborate to review and update the Calgary Parking Policies and other relevant City policies and standards.
Qualifications
- A degree in Urban Planning, Transportation, Geography or related field and at least 3 years of related experience.
- A certificate in Project Management is considered an asset.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint) is considered an asset.
- Success in this position requires knowledge in data collection and analysis alongside high attention to detail, the ability to manage multiple demands and strong analytical skills.

Workstyle
- This position may be eligible to work from home for at least part of the time as one of several flexible work options available to City employees. These arrangements depend on the operational requirements of the role, employee suitability, and are subject to change based on operational needs and corporate direction.

Position Type: 1 Temporary (up to 18 months) & 1 Permanent
Location: 620 9 Avenue SE
Compensation: Pay Grade 9 $41.49 - 55.51 per hour
Days of Work: This position typically works a 5 day
work week, with 1 day off in each 3 week cycle.
Hours of work: Standard 35 hour work week
Audience: Internal/External
