Role Details

  • Work Location – This position is primarily work from home, with occasional required in-office attendance (minimum of once per month), subject to change based on business needs. The office is located at 335 King Street East in Toronto.
  • Salary – The full base salary range for this position is from $112,500 - $156,250 annually. The starting base salary offered is based on market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, role complexity, skills, experience, and internal equity.
  • Initial Posting Close Date – March 23, 2026

##About This Opportunity

We are recruiting a Senior Manager, Enterprise Data Platforms to join our Strategic Master Data Solutions team. As Coke Canada Bottling continues to strengthen its Enterprise Data function, this role will play a critical part in advancing architectural discipline, platform integrity, and long-term scalability across the organization.

In this position, you will lead the modernization and standardization of our enterprise data platform—setting clear architecture standards, elevating engineering maturity, and shaping a cohesive, scalable data ecosystem built on a modern technical stack.

Blending strategic platform leadership with hands-on architectural involvement, this role is central to strengthening our enterprise data foundation—enabling analytics, applications, and data-driven decision-making at scale.

This is an exciting role to leverage your 8+ years of experience in data engineering, platform architecture, or enterprise data infrastructure to help define the next phase of Coke Canada’s enterprise data platform strategy and influence long-term architectural direction.

##Responsibilities

Enterprise Platform Architecture & Standards

  • Define and institutionalize enterprise data platform architecture standards, including transformation layering, structural design patterns, and pipeline construction principles.
  • Establish and enforce engineering standards governing ingestion, normalization, transformation, documentation, testing, and deployment.
  • Lead architectural design reviews for new pipelines and major platform changes.
  • Ensure structural implementations faithfully execute certified data definitions without reinterpretation or embedded business logic.
  • Maintain a clear boundary between structural transformation and certified semantic outputs.

Platform Modernization & Ecosystem Development

  • Conduct platform assessments to identify architectural inconsistencies and modernization opportunities.
  • Develop and execute a phased remediation roadmap to build a cohesive data ecosystem leveraging a modern technical stack, including refactoring non-compliant pipelines and standardizing transformation patterns.
  • Strengthen scalability, reproducibility, and maintainability across the data environment.
  • Contribute to enterprise tooling and platform strategy decisions aligned with long-term data objectives.

Engineering Leadership & Delivery Maturity

  • Establish modern data engineering practices, including CI/CD standards, structured code reviews, and controlled deployment gates.
  • Implement documentation and traceability requirements to ensure transparency and long-term sustainability.
  • Introduce measurable quality metrics to elevate platform reliability and operational performance.
  • Mentor and develop engineering talent while remaining engaged in complex architectural decisions.
  • Promote a disciplined engineering culture that prioritizes structural integrity and long-term maintainability.

Cross-Functional Partnership

  • Partner closely with Certification & Governance to ensure structural implementations align with certified definitions.
  • Collaborate with Domain Leads and enterprise stakeholders to translate business requirements into scalable platform designs.
  • Partner with application development and solution teams to ensure enterprise data outputs integrate effectively into analytics, reporting, and business applications while maintaining architectural standards.
  • Provide clear guidance on structural feasibility, architectural risks, and implementation trade-offs.
  • Communicate platform roadmap and associated risks effectively to both technical and non-technical audiences.

##Qualifications

  • College diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field.
  • 8+ years of experience in data engineering, platform architecture, or enterprise data infrastructure roles.
  • Demonstrated work experience defining, implementing, and enforcing architectural standards within a modern cloud-based data environments (Microsoft Azure preferred).
  • Hands-on experience implementing CI/CD practices for data pipelines to support scalable, reliable delivery.
  • Proven experience leading engineering teams through platform modernization or architectural standardization initiatives.
  • Strong technical proficiency in SQL, Python, and distributed data processing frameworks (e.g., Spark or equivalent).
  • Experience designing scalable data pipelines within Azure-based environments, including Azure Data Lake, Data Factory, Synapse, Databricks, or similar technologies.
  • Ability to convey technical roadmap and associated risks to non-technical audiences.
  • Strong understanding of data transformation layering principles and disciplined placement of logic within enterprise data ecosystems.
  • Strategic platform thinker with strong architectural judgment, capable of setting technical direction and leading teams to deliver sustainable, enterprise scale solutions.
  • Ability to partner across governance, engineering, and business teams, and clearly communicate technical roadmaps, architectural decisions, and associated risks to non-technical audiences.
