Responsibilities

• Partner with business stakeholders to understand complex trading and risk management requirements
• Facilitate requirements gathering sessions and translate business needs into actionable technical specifications
• Present comprehensive technical solutions to executive-level client representatives
• Lead end-to-end project implementations, including system design, configuration, testing, and deployment
• Architect and develop custom Allegro extensions, reports, plugins, and system interfaces
• Drive technical design decisions for CTRM platform integrations and customizations
• Ensure adherence to development best practices and quality standards
• Mentor junior technical consultants and share expertise across the practice
• Collaborate closely with project managers and principal consultants on strategic initiatives
• Provide ongoing production support to ensure optimal system performance for client operations

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field
• Legal authorization to work in Canada
• 2+ years of hands-on experience in power trading, marketing, and scheduling operations
• 2+ years of proven experience with commodity trading and risk management software systems
• Direct Allegro platform expertise, including development, configuration, and interface support
• Proficiency in .NET Windows Forms development and the Visual Studio IDE
• Strong database skills with MS SQL Server or Oracle, including relational database design
• Experience with Agile, SCRUM, or Waterfall development methodologies
• Familiarity with cloud platforms, such as Azure and AWS
• Demonstrated ability to write technical specifications for Allegro custom extensions
• Advanced Excel capabilities and proficiency in the comprehensive MS Office Suite
• Exceptional relationship-building skills with internal teams and external stakeholders
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with keen attention to detail
• Excellent communication skills, with the ability to present to both technical and business audiences
• Self-motivated with a proactive approach to project management and issue resolution
